DEMONSTRATIONS

Citizens and associations wishing to organize demonstrations, marches, sit-ins, collections of signatures, etc. must apply for "public property occupation".

WORK ACCIDENTS

You shall submit a work accident claim together with a medical certificate within 48 hours. After that time there is a penalty of € 516.46.

REPORTS

Reports made by citizens will be followed by inspections and any measures taken by the local police.

LOST PROPERTY

Citizens must hand them in to the Local Police Office that will keep them and publish a list on the Municipal Notice Board. After one year, if the object is not claimed by its owner, the person who found it will become the new owner – article 929 of the civil code.

ROAD PERMITS

In case of public works, citizens may ask the local police a special road permit and agree upon alternative road traffic solutions.

DISABILITY PLACARDS

People with a disability certificate issued by the Local Health Authority may ask for a placard to be displayed on their vehicle, which is valid throughout the country. The placard allows to park in areas for disabled people and to be under no obligation to comply with time limits in time-limited parking areas.

TRANSFER OF REAL ESTATE

Citizens who, for any reason, give or allow the use of a property for more than 30 days are required to fill in an application form (transfer of real estate) and to deliver it within 48 hours to the Local Authority of Public Safety (Mayor). Failing that, there is a penalty of € 206.00. The form is available in stationery stores.

ISSUE OF CERTIFICATES OF SUITABLE HOUSING FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS (valid for 6 months)

The local police issues and renews the certificates of suitable housing.

COMMUNICATION OF HOSPITALITY AND/OR RECRUITMENT OF A FOREIGN OR STATELESS PERSON

Anyone who, for whatever reason, gives accommodation, houses or hires a foreign or stateless person is required to give written notice to the Mayor within 48 hours. Failing that, there is a penalty of € 320.00. The form is available in stationery stores.

DRIVEWAYS

The no waiting road sign is released by the local police at a cost of € 20.00. The request must be made by the owner of a property and submitted to SpazioPiù counter.

DOGS

The local police provides for the catching of stray dogs and dog adoption in the area of Trezzo. The office of ATS in Milan-District of Melzo, Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine (Tel. +39 0292654866) provides for their registration and for tattoo number assignment.

SURVEILLANCE OF CROSSROADS

At certain times, the local police checks the traffic in some crucial points in Trezzo. It always attends the entry and exit of children of nurseries and schools in collaboration with the volunteers of the project “urban child”.

FUNERALS AND EVENTS

The Local Police of Trezzo directs the traffic during funeral processions and religious events.

INSPECTIONS WITH THE LOCAL HEALTH AUTHORITY

On request, the Local Police of Trezzo attends the inspections of the Local Health Authority in public and private buildings.

CRIMINAL POLICE

It provides for the notifications of Criminal Police; it draws reports and documents; it holds investigations by proxy; it collaborates with the Carabinieri in the various activities of the Criminal Police.

CIVIL PROTECTION

The Local Police coordinates civil protection interventions in case of natural disasters and in case of special need.

HIGHWAY CODE

To facilitate all drivers of Trezzo knowing in detail the new rules of the highway code introduced in 2003, the Local Police of Trezzo has made the current regulations available.

SPEED CONTROLS

The Local Police runs speed controls throughout the town.
