Public Relations Office

Public Relations Offices are bodies created in Italy by Legislative Decree no. 29/93 (repealed by Decree no. 165/2001) and made mandatory by law no. 150/2000. This law provides that public administrations should have public relations offices in order to ensure the full implementation of law no. 241 of August 7, 1990.

They are intended to facilitate relations between public bodies and citizens, to guarantee the right to access documents and to promote administrative transparency. They help citizens find the answers they need. For their strong "relational" nature, they need skilled and highly motivated staff.

The functions provided by law 150/2000 on public relations are performed by the SpazioPiù service.
